Eric Laplante is a filmmaker based out of New York City, and has been working there and elsewhere for over 15 years. He works on a wide variety of projects, whether they are documentary, narrative, commercial, or anything in between. Films that he has shot have been shown at numerous film festivals around the country, including SXSW and Slamdance. It’s not your eyes playing double (triple) on you: much of the work here represents Eric as a triple threat: directing, shooting, editing. He is always interested in collaborating on new projects.

He is part of the two-headed directing team Calyer. Their work has been part of both national and regional campaigns, and been honored with Tellys and a regional Emmy.

Recently his first feature Darla In Space, co-written+directed with Susie Moon, was distributed out onto VOD. On the festival circuit they played at Slamdance, and won best feature film at Sydney Underground Film Festival, Bushwick Film Festival, and Capital City Film Festival. Darla also was won the audience award at the Indy Film Festival and best directors at Not Film Festival in Italy.
